Dear Brentwood is a project that began after ten years of imaging the community and schools of Brentwood, New York.   Dear Brentwood is a collaboration between Dr. Rebecca Grella and the many students of Brentwood Union Free School District.   From high school to elementary school photographer and educator Rebecca Grella documents her journey with students in the district.

The idea for Dear Brentwood evolved when Rebecca met and trained with photographers Rebecca Norris Webb and Alex Webb. Dear Brentwood sheds light on all the positive experiences that an educator and students have on an every day basis in Brentwood.  The images represent hopes and dreams, but most importantly the drive to succeed.  Dear Brentwood sheds light on what hope and courage mean to the students and incorporates their writing into the photographic journey.
